Rogue Valley Rapid Response

In this current political climate, our hearts feel heavy, and the need to unite and seek solutions is more important than ever. Especially in times like these, we need each other to support and strengthen our entire community.

Many people have been asking what’s happening locally and have wanted to meet to discuss how to support our work with other community members who already serve the Latino community. Therefore, forming a Rapid Response Team felt necessary.

We work to protect and strengthen the Latino and immigrant community of Southern Oregon by providing education, resources, and support. In collaboration with local leaders, we advocate for justice, resilience, and community preparedness, ensuring that no one faces uncertainty alone. Our focus is preparing the community through training, workshops, and document preparation, among other services.  We do this through:

  • Know Your Rights Trainings
  • Community Advocacy
  • Family Planning
  • Notary Services
  • 4th Amendment Workplace Education
  • Education on what to do if ICE is in a school, health center, church, workplace, or other community space

What is the 4th Amendment?

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
