Zulma is a proud immigrant and Dreamer from Veracruz, Mexico, who has made Southern Oregon her home. Shaped by her culture and deep commitment to community, her journey has fueled a passion for equity, justice, and creating access for those who are often left out. She has dedicated her career to healthcare and community outreach, meeting people where they are and breaking down barriers with compassion and understanding.

Zulma believes in the power of representation, storytelling, and lifting others up. Her commitment to service extends beyond her professional work. She actively volunteers and serves on local boards that promote cultural pride, youth empowerment, family support, and community wellness. Being in service to her community is not just important, it’s essential to who she is.

Through Coalición Fortaleza, she hopes to bring her lived experience, heart, and voice to help build systems rooted in dignity, cultural pride, and collective power for her Latine community.
