Jenny Castillo is first-generation chicana with roots in Michoacán, Mexico, raised in the Rogue Valley and a proud alumna of Southern Oregon University. With a strong connection to the Latine community and over a decade of diverse professional experience, she brings a unique set of skills and a deep understanding of cultural nuances essential for effectively serving immigrant and Latine communities.
She is a community organizer, interpreter, notary public, bilingual wedding officiant, and coalition builder, contracted with Coalición Fortaleza, where she leads immigrant justice initiatives and workplace dignity campaigns across southern Oregon. Jenny also helps provide resources and Know Your Rights trainings, empowering Spanish-speaking businesses and workers to defend their constitutional protections.
Jenny is recognized as a community leader and advocate, dedicated to ensuring dignity, building resilience, and fostering solidarity across southern Oregon.
